Daily Getaways Sale Returns April 27, 2020 (Preview April 20)

[UPDATE: this sale has been postponed] Every year the U.S. Travel Association holds a big sale of various loyalty point packages, hotel stays, theme park tickets etc. There are usually some great bargains available and Canadian residents are eligible to make purchases. I see on the Daily Getaways website they’ve announced the next sale will begin April 27, 2020 with a preview to be released on April 20th.

The Daily Getaways sale spans several weeks. A few of the offerings are typically very popular and will sell out quickly so it’s a good idea to check the preview so you’re ready to go when a deal that interests you goes live. You can also sign up for daily reminder emails.

You may read comments online about how the promotion was much better years ago. However, back then it was not open to Canadian residents so at least we’re now able to access the offers.

Choice Privileges points have been a mainstay of the Daily Getaways promo so presumably they will return. In the past, prices have been very reasonable and the packages disappear fast. We’ve purchased Choice points the last two years without difficulty but the year before that, they were gone within seconds.

I’ve tried for a Loews Royal Pacific hotel stay at Universal Orlando as well but those have been extremely limited in number and sell out almost instantaneously.

I’m looking forward to seeing if there any interesting new travel deals this time around. It’s great to see the sale returning next month. It’s a little flash of positivity amid the gloom that currently abounds in the world of travel as a result of COVID-19 concerns.

This is most interesting. I’ve heard tell of this website but I was always afraid it wasn’t legitimate. Great to know it’s for real. Does the sale go live at midnight or at a specific time in the morning?

Last year each day’s sale went live at 2 pm Atlantic. If it’s a really popular item, you need to be refreshing the page exactly on the hour and even then you might lose out. Less enticing deals might remain available for the remainder of the promo period. Once you have the package in your “cart” you then have a reasonable number of minutes to complete the purchase.
