Yesterday Best Western sent out an email about a new promotion. If you stay at a Best Western by August 31, 2020 and buy at least $10 worth of gas or electric charging for your vehicle, they will give you a $25 Best Western Travel Card. The card expires December 31, 2020 which is the same expiry date of the bonus card you’ll get if you take advantage of their other promo for purchasing Best Western gift cards. [UPDATE: there is now another Best Western $25 gift card promo which requires registration]
I guess this promotion is designed to inspire people to take road trips and book with Best Western. For Canadians travelling close to home during this period of restricted travel, it’s a promo worth considering. Check out all the terms and conditions to get the full details.
Eligible stays must be booked directly with Best Western and completed by August 31, 2020. You have until September 5th to request the gift card. No registration is required. There is a limit of one bonus gift card per member.
You need to email proof of the fuel purchase that was made within 10 days of the stay along with your reservation confirmation number, hotel location and Best Western Rewards number.
So then, buy a $100 gift card to get the $20 bonus card first, use those to pay for a Best Western stay, fill up your vehicle within 10 days of the stay, get the $25 card, and put that toward your next stay before the end of the year.
Instead of just giving you the bonus, they require a little bit of effort with the email submission. Perhaps they just really wanted to use the “Tanks-A-Lot” slogan and email address. Personally, I’d prefer a straight discount on the stay and/or a generous point bonus but this is okay.
If you plan to travel around Nova Scotia or New Brunswick this summer, take a look at the Best Western options if you think this promo might be of use to you.
