Air Miles is back with another Bonus Boom promotion that runs through the next couple of weeks. Although it’s the least exciting of the recurring multi-partner promos, it can still be an easy way to gather up a few extra miles from your regular spending so it’s worth checking out all the offers for your province.
Use 3 Different Offers, Receive 95 Bonus Miles
While the bonus is rather modest in comparison, an important difference between a Bonus Boom and a major promotion like Shop The Block is that you don’t need to use offers at different partners to trigger the bonus. You can use 3 different offers at the same partner if you wish.
Individual Offer Dates Vary
The promotion goes from May 13 to May 26 but the individual partner offers all have their own dates of validity. You have to be organized so you don’t miss the opportunity to use one that has a short window.
Some Offers Require Opting In Online
Remember to opt in to all the offers where you need to do so in order to receive the bonus. This is a slightly annoying aspect of these promotions as I’m sure there are folks who forget. It’s best to do all your opting in when you first review offers and determine which ones might work for you.
BMO Air Miles Mastercard Offer
One of the easiest offers is available to holders of a BMO Air Miles Mastercard as it just requires a minimum spend of either $100 or $250 at specified participating partners. Gift cards will do. Remember to opt in.
What About Mega Miles?
Normally around this time of year we’d see Mega Miles, one of the two major annual Air Miles promotions. Last year it was delayed several months due to the onset of the pandemic and it appears that has happened again. The promo page alludes to the current circumstances with references to buying essentials and shopping online. Hopefully when the Covid situation improves we’ll see the return of Mega Miles.
Conclusion
These Bonus Boom promotions are always a little underwhelming due to the modest 95 mile bonus, and as usual with these promos, most of the offers at the bottom of the page are a little ridiculous. But if you shop at any of the normal partners regularly, you should definitely take advantage of this if possible to boost your balance a bit or save on Cash mile redemptions.
