The Bonus Boom is back yet again. Although it’s the least exciting of the recurring multi-partner Air Miles promos, it can still be an easy way accumulate a few extra miles from your regular spending and it has been showing up quite frequently this year.
Use 3 Different Offers, Receive 95 Bonus Miles
While the bonus is rather modest in comparison, an important distinction between a Bonus Boom and a major promo like Shop The Block is that you don’t need to use offers at different partners to trigger the bonus. You can simply use 3 different offers at the same partner (if multiple offers are available) which makes it a bit easier.
Individual Offer Dates Vary
The promotion goes from June 17 to June 30, 2021 but the individual partner offers each have their own dates. Take note of them all so you don’t miss the opportunity to use one that has a shorter window.
Some Offers Require Opting In Online
This is a slightly annoying aspect of these promotions as I’m sure there are folks who forget to do it. It’s probably a good idea to just opt in for everything and then you don’t have to worry.
BMO Air Miles Mastercard Offer
One of the easiest offers is available to holders of a BMO Air Miles Mastercard. It requires a minimum spend of either $150 (for 75 bonus miles) or $250 (for 150 bonus miles) at specified participating partners. Gift cards will do. Remember to opt in first.
Airmilesshops.ca
Note that the bonus for making a purchase of $80 or more through the online shopping portal ends June 20. Then starting June 21 there is a bonus offer for making a purchase of at least $20 at Walmart through Airmilesshops.ca.
So Many Bonus Booms – What About Mega Miles?
Last year, the usual springtime promo, Mega Miles, was delayed several months due to the onset of the pandemic and it appears that has happened again as cases surged over the last few months. Hopefully as the situation improves we’ll see it return.
Conclusion
These Bonus Boom promotions are always a little underwhelming due to the relatively puny 95 mile bonus. But if you normally shop at any Air Miles partners you should definitely take advantage of the chance to increase your balance or at least save on some Cash mile redemptions.

While “it’s something”, I’m keen for the return of a bigger promo. Hopefully this summer or early Fall they’ll drop a good one… hard to get motivated for 95 points – but it would be worth it if they returned to the 1500 range…
