This was the expected release day for the next IHG PointBreaks list but there was a bit of uncertainty this time around. Fortunately, some new hotels have been discounted although the list page took a while to be changed. It usually updates at around 1 pm Atlantic. However, if you do some searching on the IHG website you can find a few of the hotels before the new list appears.
The Canadian hotels are the following:
Holiday Inn Mississauga Toronto West – 10,000
Holiday Inn Ottawa Downtown Parliament Hill – 10,000
Holiday Inn Express Montreal Airport – 15,000
The Holiday Inn Ottawa Downtown Parliament Hill is in a great location. I believe it used to be the Radisson and has recently been reflagged.
There are quite a few hotels at the 15,000 rate in Florida including one on International Drive in Orlando and one in downtown Naples.
Interestingly, there are a number of hotels on the list in Australia and New Zealand which is somewhat unusual. Occasionally there are none whatsoever.
IHG PointBreaks are still a great deal even though I miss the days when they were all 5000 points. Earlier this month we made great use of a PointBreak opportunity in Gdansk, Poland, paying half the regular points rate for an upgraded room at a nice new Holiday Inn in the city centre.
Many of the hotels on the last list remained until this new one took its place. But the most popular ones will drop off relatively quickly so it’s good to make your booking without delay if one of the hotels lines up with your travel plans.

I’ve not been following IHG very much since the branded credit card went out of existence. However, I’ve noticed that you still make good use of their loyalty program. Perhaps, if you have the time, you could go over the ways you still benefit from it. I suspect many people are like me and have stopped using it as much since the change.
