Wyndham Rewards is out with a new promotion. After two qualifying stays, you get a 5500 point top-up, giving you at least 7500 points, as each stay earns at least 1000 points anyway. Because Wyndham reward rates range from 7500 to 30,000, you’ll technically have enough points for a free night. Unfortunately, hotels in the 7500 point category are few and far between, and many that exist are not too enticing.
Promotion Details
Register, book through the Wyndham website or app, stay twice, get 5500 points added to your account. The stays must be separate to trigger the bonus, so you can’t book two consecutive one-night stays at the same hotel. If your account is set to earn miles, you will not receive the bonus.
For complete info, check out the full terms and conditions.
Registration/Booking Deadline
You must register for the promotion and book your stays by April 26, 2020 even though you have until May 21st to complete them. If there’s even a remote chance that you’ll have a couple of paid stays at Wyndham brands during that period, you should go ahead and register now.
One Bonus Only
You can only earn the bonus once. Although a “free night” worth 15,000 points would have been better, there is at least a bit more flexibility when a promo gives you points instead of a free night voucher.
“Go Fast” and “Go Free”
A Wyndham reward night is termed “Go Free” whereas a points+cash night is called “Go Fast”. The points required for the “Go Fast” rates vary with the three redemption categories. For the lowest reward level of 7500 points per night, the “Go Fast” amount is 1500 and you get a discount on the cash rate.
As I mentioned, the 7500 point hotels are scarce but it’s worth taking a look to see what you can find. For example, if you happen to need a night in Leicester, England, those 7500 points would be quite valuable:
I checked a random Saturday night in June…
Now compare the reward rate to the cash rate in GBP…which seems rather high..?
Transfer Partners
If you choose to put your Wyndham Rewards points into Aeroplan miles, they convert at a rate of 6000 points to 1200 miles. Wyndham Rewards points expire after 18 months of account inactivity.
Bottom Line
It’s not the most exciting promotion, but if you’re going to be staying at Wyndham brands over the next while, you should definitely take advantage of it. For anyone planning to fly out of Moncton, the Wingate By Wyndham in Dieppe is a solid choice if you need lodging before or after a flight.

Thanks for mentioning the possible conversion to aeroplan. That is a great option to remember.
