There are some great fares within Canada and to Europe, including the return of the super Moncton – Toronto fare. These are available on certain dates only so you need some luck or flexibility to use them. If you’re going to be on the move, see if you can book an open-jaw flight using the “multi-city” or “advanced search” feature on the booking site. Remember, with Icelandair you have the option to add a stopover in Iceland of up to 7 nights. Here are a few I found with some examples.
Moncton – Toronto (Mondays and Fridays in August and September on WestJet)
Sept. 12-16 $189
Sept. 2-5 $218
Aug. 5-8 $245
Moncton – Winnipeg (Mondays and Fridays in mid-late September on WestJet)
Sept. 23-26 $330
Halifax – Hamilton (Mondays and Thursdays August and September on WestJet)
Sept. 11-25 $228
Aug. 7-11 $257
Halifax – Paris (Icelandair)
Aug. 25-Sept. 3 $606
Sept. 1-8 $566
Halifax – London (WestJet)
Oct. 1-10 $609
Halifax – Venice (American Airlines)
Sept. 12-21 $658
Halifax – Dublin (WestJet)
Oct. 2-14 $533
Halifax – Frankfurt (Condor)
Sept. 22-Oct. 6 $610
Halifax – Munich (Condor)
Sept. 23-30 $600
Halifax – Glasgow (WestJet)
Oct. 5-12 $476
Strangely, on Google Flights it states that booking one-way flights to and from Glasgow is cheaper than booking a return flight ($522). It’s the same with the flight to Dublin but the difference is less ($520 vs $533).
