A familiar flyer coupon for purchasing Sobeys gift cards is back. Choose between a 25 cents/litre fuel voucher or 100 bonus Air Miles for every $200 in Sobeys gift cards (up to a limit of 5 bonus offers per collector). The promotion runs from Thursday, July 30th to Saturday, August 1st, 2020. Foodland and Lawtons have Air Miles bonus offers as well.
Along with the Sobeys gift card promotion, here are the Air Miles offers at Foodland and Lawtons:
Sobeys – buy $200 in Sobeys gift cards, get 100 Air Miles (limit of 5)
Foodland – spend $60, get 20 Air Miles; spend $80, get 30 Air Miles; spend $100, get 50 Air Miles
Lawtons – spend $25, get 10 Air Miles; spend $50, get 25 Air Miles; spend $75, get 50 Air Miles

Unlike the Sobeys and Foodland coupon promos which run for only 3 days, (July 30 – Aug. 1), the Lawtons one is valid for the duration of the flyer (July 31 – Aug. 6). Remember that the Lawtons flyer starts on Friday whereas the Sobeys and Foodland flyers start on Thursday. (Tomorrow is the last day to get 75 Air Miles for spending $35 on Compliments products at Lawtons.)
The Sobeys gift card promotion is great for a few reasons.
No minimum grocery spend required
Occasionally Sobeys will have a spend X dollars, get X Air Miles deal. As mentioned, this week’s Foodland and Lawtons flyers both have such promotions. Those offers are fine but if you’re already set for groceries or if Superstore or Shoppers have the best deals that week, they aren’t so useful. This is more flexible because a gift card can be used over multiple shopping trips.
No specific product purchase necessary
Promos like the weekly “Blue Bonus” offers are nice if the product is something you’d actually buy, such as this week’s Quaker granola bar offer ($1.99 each, buy 10, get 95 miles), but those are obviously hit or miss. This gift card deal eliminates that issue. Just use it to buy what you want in the quantities you prefer.
Sobeys gift cards are accepted elsewhere
Here in the Maritimes you can use your Sobeys gift card at its retail partners like Foodland, Lawtons Drugs and Shell stations associated with a Needs, Sobeys Express or Fast Fuel.

Air Miles collectors should always be on the lookout for this Sobeys gift card promo. It’s a super way to get bonus miles for purchases you’d be making anyway.
